It’s 2022 and social media is all about grabbing your audience with visuals. The rise of apps like Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok made us all reliant on eye-catching aesthetics and retaining information in the most attractive way. One important part of brand development is defining the page’s aesthetic. It is shown that a defined brand and aesthetic attracts users to the page and provides an opportunity for content to be reshared more. Here are some design trends that can make your page more attractive and aesthetically pleasing. 

1. Parametric Patterns
   Parametric patterns have been a go-to in the graphic design community. Today, these complex geometric patterns stand out in the backgrounds of infographics and add texture to a digital image. 

2. Colorful Minimalism (specifically monochrome)
   Minimalism consists of a simple and succinct design. It uses the most essential elements like basic shapes and limited color palettes. A new trend has been to use vibrant colors instead of the traditional neutral color palette. We also see the use of monochrome images and matching the font colors with their backgrounds. 

3. Risograph Print Effects
   The Risograph Print Effect stems from the artform that originated in Japan in 1946. Originally, it required a special printer that layered translucent colors. However, digitally these effects can be mimicked with bright, vivid colors and varying the levels of opacity on your design application. 

4. 90s and ‘00s nostalgia
   Just like in fashion, the Y2K trend has also taken over graphic design. Much of this style includes pastel pinks, metallic colors, glitter effects and checkerboard patterns. In web design, many sites will mimic the earliest web development and styles.
